Nef Points 06 Residences, Kagithane, Istanbul
The starting point of the project is a traditional residential block in an urban renewal area of Kagithane, Istanbul. The building is comprised of four distinct volumes that appear to hover atop a transparent and active base.
Situated atop a rolling hill, the building volumes move across the landscape in response to the topography beneath. The residential tower consists of framed volumes which hang gracefully off of the core, which intermittently reveals itself between the residential program. As the frames rotate, they present unique window typologies, textures, and composition, giving the building a dynamic facade on top of a simple, elegant form. Each apartment designed for ample natural daylight and beautiful views onto the park below.
